In my opinion, Bernie Sanders owned this debate. It's probably a little bit biased since I've been supporting him since the beginning, but I honestly believe that he gave the most credible, logical responses to the questions asked of him. Also, he made a point to focus on the real issues when people kept diverting to scandals involving other candidates. The internet agrees with me too - a CNN poll's results showed that 82% of participants believed that he won the debate. Editors seem to think that Hilary Clinton won, but the populace is definitely "Feeling the Bern." "Let me say — let me say something that may not be great politics," he said. "But I think the secretary is right, and that is that the American people are sick and tired of hearing about your damn emails." |
What saddened me was that, other than Hilary Clinton, the other Democratic candidates were painfully inadequate. Senator Webb seemed like he wasn't solid enough in his opinions. I thought Governor O'Malley had a strong start, but he lost all credibility to me when he tried to take responsibility for Baltimore's "Safe Streets" initiative. I wouldn't be trying to take credit for that anyway, since Safe Streets has been suspended since July when police stations were found illegally stockpiling the guns they confiscated from citizens. And why, dear god why was Chafee there anyway?
I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW HE WAS ELECTED GOVERNOR OF A STATE.
